Mesh

Svenmill produces a variety of woven and warp knitted mesh fabrics used for decorative and technical purposes. The range includes marquisettes, mosquito nets, raschel as well as leno woven structures. Compositions of stocked items include Polyester, Cotton and Polypropylene, but could be produced to customer requirements in any composition.

Ballistics

Svenmill was the first company in Africa to develop ballistic resistant fabric used in South Africa’s bullet proof vests. We produce a wide variety of fabrics for soft armour and hard armour applications produced to worldwide standards. Svenmill makes use of yarn from Teijin and DuPont in its ballistics fabrics.

Filtration

Our range of filtration fabrics address both wet and dry filtration applications. Compositions of fabrics include: Polyester, Polypropylene, Nexylene, Polyphenylene Sulphide, Polyamide and Acrylic. These are offered in a variety of weave styles, weights, widths and finishing treatments including brushing to ensure the air-or water permeability are to customer specifications.
